CQC - Inspection report (Oct 2013)
CQC inspection carried out at Clifton Park Clinic in Oct 2013 shows NYOS meet high standards of quality and safety and all customers are fully satisfied with the treatment and care received.
Inspected standards and outcomes:
- Respecting and involving people who use services:
Reported: "People who used the service felt fully informed about all aspects of their care and treatment. Maintenance of customer privacy and data protection were present. Staff treated people with dignity and respect."
- Consent to care and treatment:
What customers said: "The consultant explained what was going on in very good detail. I felt happy to sign my consent form to have this procedure undertaken."
- Care and welfare of people who use services:
Reported: "People knew what to expect and were satisfied with the care and treatment they had received. Detailed care records had been recorded during people's consultations."
What customers said: "I was asked about my general health and past medical history. I have had my observations taken and everything was explained again to me."
What customers said: "The staff were excellent. There was plenty of them to help me through this at every stage of the process. They were all very knowledgeable and kind."
What consultants said: "The theatre team is made up of long standing national health service professionals. No agency staff are used. The team of care assistants are familiar with the treatment and know what they are doing. This enables us to deliver a first class service to people."
- Assessing and monitoring the quality of service provision:
Reported: "Effective systems to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service were present. Complaints policy was in place and no complaints had been received by this provider."
What customers said: "I can only praise this service. It has been totally marvellous."
